Samin Mortazavi — Barrister & Solicitor
Dr. Samin Mortazavi is a Canadian lawyer and the founder of Pax Law Corporation, established in March 2019 with offices in North Vancouver, British Columbia and Toronto, Ontario. Since the opening of the Toronto office in June 2026, Dr. Mortazavi divides his time between the Vancouver and Toronto locations, serving his own clients across British Columbia and Ontario, as well as clients throughout Canada.
Dr. Mortazavi is a member in good standing of both the Law Society of British Columbia and the Law Society of Ontario, and is qualified to practise law in both provinces. Holding dual doctorates in Law and Business Administration, he combines rigorous legal analysis with strategic business judgment in his work for his clients. Fluent in both English and Farsi, Dr. Mortazavi serves a diverse clientele, including a substantial portion of the Iranian-Canadian community in Metro Vancouver and the Greater Toronto Area.
A lifelong scholar with an enduring connection to academia and the university setting, Dr. Mortazavi has a passion for continuous learning and intellectual development. He is planning to pursue a second Master’s degree, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Criminal Law, which complements his existing courtroom experience and deepens his expertise in advocacy and adjudication.

His litigation practice encompasses civil and commercial disputes, criminal defence, family law matters, immigration proceedings, and judicial reviews.
For conveyancing and estates work, Dr. Mortazavi provides real estate services including purchases, sales, refinances, and title transfers in both British Columbia and Ontario. He also assists clients with wills, powers of attorney, representation agreements, and estate planning.
Having represented thousands of individuals in administrative law litigation since beginning his articling in 2018, Dr. Mortazavi has developed extensive barrister experience and courtroom advocacy skills characterized by meticulous preparation and strategic case theory.

Each lawyer who practises at Pax Law Corporation is an independent contractor. Each lawyer enters into their own retainer agreements with their own clients, has sole conduct of and professional responsibility for their own files, and exercises their own independent professional judgment.
This lawyer is professionally responsible only for the matters in which they are the principal lawyer. Each lawyer maintains, at a minimum, the mandatory professional liability (errors and omissions) insurance required by the law society of each province in which they practise.
