Therefore, prenuptial agreements generally do not cover child support and parenting issues.<\/p>\n<p>While you do not need a lawyer\u2019s assistance to draft a prenuptial agreement, we strongly recommend that you seek the advice and assistance of lawyers. This is because<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bclaws.gov.bc.ca\/civix\/document\/id\/complete\/statreg\/11025_05#section93\">section 93 of the Family Law Act<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>permits the courts to<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paxlaw.ca\/2022\/08\/05\/setting-aside-a-prenuptial-agreement\/\">set aside agreements that are substantially unfair<\/a>.
