Lawyers are licensed by provincial Law Societies and have the standing to represent clients in provincial and Federal courts. Communications with a lawyer are also protected by Solicitor-Client Privilege.
Depending on the nature of the matter, fees are structured as either a flat fee or standard hourly billing. All costs, fees, and disbursements are set out in the Retainer Agreement prior to starting work.
